Finding the Reason for Rising Childhood Hepatitis C

The Centers for Disease Control reports a 133 percent increase in cases of acute hepatitis C from 2012-2019 as well as a four times higher rate of new cases from those witnessed a decade ago. While nearly 325 million people worldwide live with hepatitis infections, it is the rise in childhood infection – and death – that has the scientific community scratching its head.
