As a member of Research!America, the nation’s largest nonprofit alliance committed to advancing health through research, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists recently signed on to a letter thanking members of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives’ committees on labor, health, and human services for robust funding increases for medical and public health research in the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2018.
The letter highlights the unprecedented $3 billion increase for the National Institutes of Health and meaningful budget increases for other crucially important research agencies within the Department of Health and Human Services that positively affect global health.
