Learn about the virtual options and in-person opportunities for viewing and presenting posters
By Andrew M. Vick, Ph.D., AAPS President
I hope you have already made or plan to attend this year’s PharmSci 360. Among the many offerings at the meeting, there is a chance to display and engage with posters.
Whether you attend PharmSci 360 virtually or in-person, you will have the opportunity to connect with poster authors to discuss their work and find potential partners and collaborators. You can read more about formatting, submitting, and finding posters in the AAPS Meetings section of this AAPS Newsmagazine issue. I have summarized a few highlights here as well.
Authors will present hundreds of posters at PharmSci 360, covering topics from 3D printing, to immunotherapy, to oglionucleotides and nitrosamines, and everything in between. Browsing the research and chatting with authors is a highlight of the meeting for many attendees.
Posters will be made available to PharmSci 360 registrants at the start of the meeting on Monday, October 18. Virtual registrants will be able to view them through the PharmSci 360 meeting site, while attendees in Philadelphia have access through any digital terminal in the Solution Center. The image above is an example of a virtual poster. More information on the formatting of these posters may be found here.
You do not have to wait for PharmSci 360 to start building your career. Remember to view all the opportunities that you have access to as an AAPS member. Below are some upcoming events including our popular eChalk Talks and webinars.
AAPS Webinars bring insights and research from across the pharmaceutical sciences to you. Live AAPS Webinars are free and open to the public. Here is what is coming up for September 2021:
Method Robustness and Transferability for Modern Size Exclusion Methods
September 7

eChalk Talks are designed to be casual conversations intended to bring quick, scientific learning to our colleagues, while also encouraging thoughtful discussion. These bi-weekly online engagements will consist of a 15-minute scientific presentation followed-up with a 15-minute Q&A session.

As always, I am looking forward to a new season of learning through AAPS programs. And if you have any suggestions or comments for me, please remember you can reach out at president@aaps.org.
With gratitude,
Andy
