AAPS’ 2021-2025 Goals: Connect and Engage
By Andrew M. Vick, Ph.D., AAPS President
The AAPS 2021-2025 Strategic Plan includes the AAPS mission, core values, goals, and strategic objectives. This month I would like to take the time to highlight one of the five primary goals we have established. Overall, these goals encompass connection, collaboration, strategic networking, engagement, and career building opportunities for our members.
These goals are the guiding influence we carry as we plan content and experiences for AAPS members. This first goal focuses on a commitment to creating interactions AAPS members will value and be inspired by with one another. Each year, we will continue to offer connections and engagements that will expand knowledge and spark meaningful conversations. All throughout the year there are events, webinars, and content being published to support this goal.

This August there are many opportunities to connect and engage. Below are a few that you do not want to miss:
eChalk Talk: Creating Vacuum in the Pharma Lab
August 4, 2021
eChalk Talk: Simplify Residual Solvents Analysis through Technology
August 4, 2021
61st Annual Land O’ Lakes Pharmaceutical Analysis Conference
August 9-11, 2021
The Land O’ Lakes Pharmaceutical Analysis Conference is well-recognized as one of the premier conferences in the pharmaceutical industry. Topics covered in this year’s program include:
- Pediatric Formulations
- Lipid Nanoparticle Formulations in Vaccine Development
- Drug Device Combinations
- Taste Masking
- Nitrosamine Impurities
- Novel Excipients as Vaccine Adjuvants
- Packaging Considerations

When we take the time to connect and engage, we expand our perspective and find support in our careers. At AAPS, I am proud to see the variety of events and dynamic conversations that are occurring and hope you will join in.
With gratitude,
Andy
