Hot Topic: Patients-centric Immunogenicity Assessment Approach for Biologics in Oncology Clinical Trials

Current regulatory recommendations call for a risk-based approach for assessing clinical immunogenicity. In reality, the language used in the guidance is interpreted literally and, in many cases, implemented as a one-size fits-all for therapeutic modalities, regardless their risk profile, patient’s health conditions and immunity status. Cancer patients, and especially those enrolled in IO clinical trials suffer from high morbidity and mortality rates with limited treatment options. These factors need to be considered when assessing immunogenicity in the clinical setting. We propose a more patient-centric approach for immunogenicity assessment that minimize patient burden while provide adequate evolution of the potential impact of ADA in clinical outcome.

Communication "blind spots" can prevent a good leader from becoming great. We will illustrate how to uncover the hidden curse of knowledge, apply the principles of emotional intelligence to become a more powerful leader, and build strong bridges between the presenter and the audience for more effective collaboration.
