Dear AAPS members –
As scientists we face a deluge of topics. New information becomes available every hour, forcing us to continually swim through a sea of messages, continually determining what is relevant to our work and – even more important -- scientifically credible without ever missing a stroke.
I'm sure you find yourself wading into issues and topics based on how they affect the project on which you're focused right now, the project you think you'll focus on next, and the project you hope to work on some day. You're probably also trying to find time to hop to another stream of science that could soon join your own river of work.
AAPS is a life preserver for a scientist floating on science's waves of research! We connect you to the latest information available, and we make sure it's credible. One of our most powerful tools is AAPS Science 360, a rapidly growing repository of curated science in digital format. Science 360 is backed by a powerful, AAPS-customized search engine that allows you to find all the resources we have on a given topic. Type in a keyword and start your next swim. You will be amazed at what you can pull to the surface from our digital depths.
By searching Science 360, I have discovered so many interesting posters and webinars. These have led me to identify topics I want to learn more about in our peer-reviewed journals and at our events. You can also use this information to start a scientific discussion in one of our many communities, where you will find that other community members are more than happy to sail alongside you.
Before you dive in, let me remind you of a few upcoming deadlines to direct your search! The submission window for rapid fire presentations at PharmSci 360 closes soon -- next Friday, June 13, to be exact -- so do not wait if you have great ideas to share. The window to submit a late-breaking poster abstract is open a little longer, until July 23.
Speaking of July, I hope you are joining us in Indianapolis for the Summer Scientific Forum and cutting-edge sessions on bioanalysis and pharmaceutical analysis! The early bird registration deadline is June 16, so register now to lock in the best rates for this event.
Science 360 is also your gateway to excellent elearning next week. On Tuesday, June 10, @Twan Lammers will discuss, Strategies to Promote Cancer Nanomedicine Performance and Clinical Translation. Then, on Wednesday, June 11, Corine Ramos will ask you to Meet CyTOF: Simultaneous Inflammatory Response Monitoring & Cell Population Characterization. Your week of digital scientific learning closes out with a presentation on Thursday, June 12, from @Agata Exner, who will discuss Theranostics Applications of Shell-Stabilized Nanobubbles.
I hope you'll enjoy a good dip in the scientific deep-end, and let our science inspire you to look up and ahead.
Tina
