A special message from the AAPS President.
By Joseph W. Polli, Ph.D., FAAPS, President
Dear colleagues and friends,
Planning an event with so much unknown, it would be easy to throw up our hands. Even easier to settle. Our attitude at AAPS? Let’s do things even better than before, for as many scientists as possible. Whether it is your first or third time attending PharmSci 360, this year we are offering exciting, new opportunities on top of the outstanding scientific presentations you expect, and registration is open now.
The world needs and expects much from our scientific community right now especially, and in turn, AAPS seeks to support you. With this intention in mind, in addition to our meeting in Louisiana, we have also transformed our agenda into a vibrant virtual meeting designed to complement the in-person experience at PharmSci 360. The latest research in your area of interest will be available at your fingertips from wherever you are in the world.
PharmSci 360 sessions will take place over two weeks, Oct. 26–Nov. 5, purposefully designed with space to reflect, chat, take notes…eat your lunch—all of the convenience plus all of the engagement. With our online programming, your decision will be whether to attend sessions live alongside fellow passionate, engaged scientists or watch recordings at your leisure. The virtual program will still feature plenaries, keynotes, and symposia, as well as career development sessions, partner presentations, posters, Rapid Fire presentations, awards, and time to visit the virtual Solution Center where you can meet with exhibitors and recruiters.
Did you know that the recordings and posters from PharmSci 360 will be available online through December 31, 2020? With 300+ sessions and 500+ speakers, this extra time allows participants to fully engage in all areas of interest at a convenient pace.
We are bringing together all the expertise and insight you expect from PharmSci 360 and then some through new features we are in the process of developing. Our virtual approach allows a wider audience of enthusiastic scientists to participate. This is thrilling and I am excited for all of us to meet new colleagues. Your opportunities to engage and connect are expanding this year. Throughout the upcoming weeks look for PS360 Pop-Up content where you can find details about what to expect interacting virtually.
Thank you for all your support of AAPS over the years, and especially now. I look forward to talking with you in the coming weeks as we develop a meeting in which pharmaceutical scientists across the globe can participate. Be a part of PharmSci 360 this year and connect our global scientific network for conversation, learning, and inspiration. Register today!
With gratitude,
Joseph Polli
