Student Chapters

Join an AAPS student chapter for all the features we can provide to you. You can bring senior pharmaceutical scientists to your chapter meetings to speak and advise on careers, you can network with fellow students locally, and you can meet senior scientists at AAPS PharmSci 360. As a member of a student chapter, you can have access to thousands of member scientists. We have chapters at schools and universities around the globe; if there is not one near you, contact us to start one.

STUDENT CHAPTER RENEWAL

2025-2026 AAPS Student Chapter Renewal Submissions Due November 14, 2025!

Any chapter who submits ALL completed renewal documents accurately and in their entirety by November 14, 2025, will receive a stipend. Those chapters that do not submit all of the completed documents by November 14 must submit corrections by December 15, 2025 to receive their stipend. For an overview of the process, please review the Student Chapter checklist.

Any chapter that does not submit all the completed documents by December 15, will be considered delinquent and will not be eligible for a stipend.

Starting a New Student Chapter

Membership in an AAPS Student Chapter is open to students who are undergraduates, graduates, and postdoctoral fellows at an institution of higher education. Student Chapter members come from a wide array of academic degrees and disciplines, and students outside of schools of pharmacy are also encouraged to join.

AAPS Student Chapters enable students to:

Increase their awareness of career opportunities in the pharmaceutical sciences
Gain access to educational opportunities where they will learn various aspects of drug development
Take advantage of opportunities for professional advancement and leadership development
Enhance their knowledge of the latest advances and discoveries in the pharmaceutical sciences
Participate in AAPS outreach activities at the local, regional, national, and international levels

To start a Student Chapter, you must meet the following requirements:

Must be established at an accredited institution of higher education. Both US and International schools are encouraged to apply.
Have at least ten chapter members who have a current paid student/postdoctoral AAPS membership
Have one designated faculty advisor who currently holds a paid AAPS regular membership

If you would like to proceed with starting a student chapter at your university, please complete New Chapter Roster and Planned Events FY25 and US Operating and Procedural Guidelines FY25 documentation and email it to studentchapters@aaps.org.
