Volunteer for the 2027 PharmSci 360 Scientific Programming Committee!
AAPS is now seeking volunteers to serve on the 2027 PharmSci 360 Scientific Programming Committee including:
- 8 Track Leaders
- 4 Track Chairs
- 1 Vice Chair who will advance to Chair of committee in 2028
The 2027 PharmSci 360 will take place face-to-face November 14-17, 2027, in Anaheim, CA. All committee members are expected to attend the meeting in person.
The PharmSci 360 Scientific Programming Committee is responsible for planning high-quality scientific content that engages the target audience for the PharmSci 360 meeting. The committee plans all scientific content, including symposia and keynote session. Additionally, the committee sets the themes that are used by the Abstract Screening Committee and the Rapid Fire Committee.
Tasks
Build a scientific program each year that:
- Is consistent with the AAPS strategic vision and aligns with other programming across the AAPS calendar
- Achieves PharmSci 360's programmatic objectives
- Ensures high standards for presentation
- Prioritizes attendee experience over other concerns
Committee work peaks in the spring-summer, when track chairs complete selection of sessions; placement of sessions in the programming grid; and recruitment of speakers. However, committee involvement may require attention throughout the meeting as committee members manage speaker engagement.

Volunteer for the Student Program Support Committee
AAPS is seeking dedicated AAPS members to serve on our Student Program Support Committee!

The AAPS Student Program Support Committee develops and maintains programs that benefit AAPS student members, postdoc members, and student chapters.
Available Positions
AAPS is seeking applications for four committee member positions and one vice chair position.
- Committee members serve two-year terms from November 2026 – October 2028.
- The vice chair serves a three-year term as a committee officer (vice chair, chair, and then past chair) beginning in November 2026

*Attention: AAPS members are prohibited from serving on more than one AAPS Committee at a time to ensure that many voices from the membership are represented in AAPS’ governance and in the selection of science and programming.
Members will not be considered for roles on other committees until their term is complete.
Members may participate in short-term volunteer activities (e.g., task forces, moderating a session, serving as a mentor) at any time, regardless of their service on an AAPS Committee.

Help a young scientist make a great first impression in their field!
- Sign up for an hour-long designated slot in the PharmSci 360 Solution Center. Time slots start at 8:30am CT each day of the meeting.
- Review résumés and/or LinkedIn profiles and offer tips for creating a great first impression.
Lead Mock Interviews and Help Emerging Scientists Hone Interview Skills
Conduct mock interviews to give candidates a chance to hone their interview skills. Students, postdocs, and others entering the pharmaceutical sciences have asked for help in presenting themselves as the best candidate for career opportunities.
Interviews are not based on specific job openings – you do not need to have expertise in a specific science.
- Sign up for an hour-long designated slot in the PharmSci 360 Solution Center. Time slots are available starting at 8:30am CT each day of the meeting.
- Candidates should leave their mock interview with advice on presenting themselves well in an interview setting and a sense of what to expect in future interview situations.
Participate in the Mentoring Breakfast
Engage in informal, small group conversations with students, postdocs, or other scientists about their career plans and goals over breakfast Tuesday, October 27, 7am-8:30am CT. Share what you have learned through your own career experience.
- Sign up to participate. Your professional details will be shared with attendees to help connect them with the right mentor.
- Attend the breakfast, chat with participants, and offer career advice at your table.
Help First-time Attendees – Be a Conference Buddy
Share tips with first-time attendees on how to make the most out of the meeting and AAPS. It is an easy way to enrich your conference experience and meet new scientific colleagues.
- Sign up to be matched with a first-time attendee with similar interests.
- You will be matched approximately a week before the meeting begins.
- As a meeting veteran, you will contact your assigned conference buddy before the meeting to schedule times to connect during the event, such as the opening general session or a symposium that interests you both.
- During PharmSci 360 you and your buddy can discuss intriguing sessions you have seen, meet for lunch or dinner, browse the Solution Center, and discuss projects. What you do together is up to you!
